Jay Murray is our youth minister. He and his wife Kim are faithful followers of Jesus. Their heart's desire is to see young people grow closer to the Savior. God is useing Brother Jay and Sister Kim in a mighty way to impact our youth so that our youth can impact our community.
We here at Pleasant Plains are interested in what our youth are taught and believe. We have youth groups from 3 years up to 12th grade ages. Our youth meet together each Wednesday night for a time of study, worship, and fun. Our Seventh through Twelth graders are involved in the ProTeens program.
Our teens are taught from the Word of God; things such as, why they are Baptist, what’s the importance of the Lords Supper, and Baptism. Our focus is to teach our young people the fundamentals of the faith. We have geared our programs more toward Spiritual Growth than secular entertainment.
